Intersolar North America is almost upon us and for the first time ever, we’ll be giving public demonstrations of our new Smappee Plus energy monitor during this year’s show, which we can’t wait to be a part of.

Intersolar North America is close to our new Bay Area U.S. headquarters, where consumer tech icons like Nest, Uber, and Tesla are constantly inventing new ways to make people’s lives easier and help them to save money. Although Smappee is not yet as well known as those companies, we all essentially have the same goals.

Take these three examples:

  • Nest makes saving on heating and cooling bills easy with a user-friendly and automated interface.
  • Uber makes it easy for people to have personal, on-demand transportation without having to buy a car.
  • Tesla is on its way to making electric cars as convenient and cost-effective as a gasoline car with the new Model 3.

There are many, many other Silicon Valley examples, but the trends are clear: Keep it simple, help people live better lives, and help people save or even make money.

Just like Nest, Uber, and Tesla, Smappee’s line of energy monitoring products are meant to enrich people’s everyday lives, enabling them to learn about their energy usage, save on their utility bills and offer control of household appliances and the energy flow throughout the house.

This is exactly what we’ve done with our newest product Smappee Plus, which is only available to partners and resellers. Not only does Smappee Plus bring numerous benefits to consumers, it’s also been designed to bring tremendous added value to energy professionals, enabling them to easily expand their solar businesses with new, smart home services.

Intersolar North America is also an exhibition for the new age in energy storage, and once again, Smappee fits right in with our new Smappee Plus, which can monitor and control how solar energy is stored or utilized within the home. Smappee Plus can direct excess solar energy to appliances that can be used flexibly in the homeowners preferred order and perform critical load balancing within a home.

On top of that, all of Smappee’s products are a one-time purchase, saving consumers from annual subscription fees. As for the future, when utility energy trading programs become more common, Smappee Plus is ready for peer-to-peer energy trading on microgrids and virtual power plants using blockchain technology.

There’s so much more to tell about Smappee and its benefits to consumers and professional energy installers, but nothing is more convincing than having a personal demonstration.  So if you’re a solar installer or an energy professional coming to Intersolar North America in San Francisco between July 11 and July 13, 2017, please contact us to set a time to give you a full tour of Smappee’s energy saving and control capabilities.
