International Business Developer - Energy B2B

We are looking for B2B Business Developer to join our international Sales team and put Smappee on the map in the following regions: Benelux/France, DACH, Nordics and Australia.

Accountabilities

- You sell all Smappee's innovative products and services to commercial clients that sell energy efficiency products and services to consumers and businesses.
- You search for these ESCOs in your dedicated region and establish partnerships.
- You work together with top decision-makers towards a solution where Smappee fits into their services.
- You actively prospect for new opportunities and innovations where Smappee can be of added value.
- You set up long-term partnerships. You can count on the support of Internal Sales.
- You are responsible for the commercial results of your region and report to the Sales Director.
- You attend important local and international events and trade shows.

Profile

- You have at least 5 years of experience in a Sales positions and at least 5 years of experience in the energy monitoring industry.
- You have a bachelors or masters degree or are equal in experience.
- You’re a tech enthusiast and you quickly understand new technologies.
- You use your knowledge about the latest innovations and regulations in the energy field to find creative solutions and see future opportunities.
- You prefer to work in a flexible sales environment.
- You have strong communication skills and are able to clearly present innovative technologies.
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English is necessary. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Test & Service Engineer (Belgium)

We are looking for a Test & Service Engineer to join the Smappee team in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Accountabilities

- You are responsible for the testing of our innovative products and applications.
- You are responsible for the support towards our partners (B2B support) who sell and install our Smappee products.
- Your customers are Smappee Certified partners who need help in troubleshooting during installation or configuration of the Smappee products for their end customers.
- You will ensure customer satisfaction and an exceptional customer service for these partners.
- You are involved in the creation and maintenance of support documentation.
- You work in our Kortrijk office in a team of 5 service & test engineers.

Profile

- You have at least a bachelor degree in ICT or Electronics.
- You have 2 years’ experience in a support or testing role, test automation experience is a plus.
- You have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- You easily talk on the phone.
- You are perseverant, helping people makes you happy.
- You are a problem solver.
- Affinity with the energy sector and energy monitoring in particular is a plus.
- You find it inspiring to work in a team and receive, but also transmit knowledge in that team.
- Dynamic, responsible, eager to learn, communicative, empathic, quality oriented and problem solving are your key characteristics.

Pre-Sales Engineer (Belgium)

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to join the Smappee team in Kortrijk, Belgium.

Accountabilities

As a seasoned pre-sales engineer, you
- provide technical pre-sales assistance for tenders and quotations.
- coordinate strategic pilots and projects.
- provide technical presentations and demonstrations.
- provide training to our B2B partners.
- contribute to the creation of sales documentation, incl. the creation of application notes and use cases.
- attend trade shows and conferences.
- work closely together with the international business development team, internal sales, marketing at our Kortrijk office.

Profile

- You have at least a bachelor degree in ICT or Electronics or a masters diploma in electrical engineering.
- You rely on a few years of experience in a comparable role in the energy market.
- Your passion for energy and smart home triggers you to take initiative.
- Dynamic, responsible, eager to learn, communicative, empathic, quality oriented and problem solving are your key characteristics.
- You have strong communication skills, both oral and written in Dutch, French and English.
- Flexibility and being a teamplayer are your strong suits.
