What you tell your friends what you do

I help Smappee build long-term business relationships by providing technical pre-sales assistance to both internal and external stakeholders.

What you really do

  • You provide technical pre-sales assistance for tenders and quotations.
  • You set up technical presentations and demonstrations.
  • You give trainings and create training material for partners.
  • You interpret and manage customer requirements.
  • You coordinate strategic pilots and projects.
  • You contribute to the creation of sales documentation, incl. the creation of application notes and use cases.
  • You attend trade shows and conferences.

How you do it

  • Your passion for energy and smart home triggers you to take initiative.
  • Flexibility and being a teamplayer are your strong suits..
  • You communicate technical information with commercial awareness in Dutch, French and English.
  • You rely on at least a few years of experience in a comparable role and market.
  • You have a bachelor diploma in electronics or a masters diploma in electrical engineering.
  • You report to Chief Sales Officer.

Your team

You work independently, but you’re not conquering the world alone. Together with your pre-sales colleague, the internal sales team and 5 Business Developers you develop long-term business relationships with partners.

What you really do

  • You analyse and develop new software features on existing and new Smappee hardware.
  • You follow-up new development and make sure that they are fully functional.
  • You provide development estimates and input to plan and build out the roadmap.
  • You follow-up new technologies and extend your knowledge on them.

How you do it

  • Your passion for energy and smart home triggers you to take initiative and share ideas.
  • You deal with the full development cycle of analysis, development and testing.
  • You rely on at least a few years of experience as a firmware engineer and on a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Your experience with embedded Java is essential to the job. Experience with other program languages like C (C++), Assembly, Java, Python might come in useful as well.
  • You report to the CTO.

  • You analyze the market and look for possible growth opportunities in order to translate these into concrete actions.

How you do it

  • Your passion for energy and smart home triggers you to take initiative and work independently.
  • You boost the turnover and margin with your strong analytical skills and drive for results.
  • You communicate with strong commercial awareness.
  • You rely on at least a few years of experience as a business developer within a technical environment and with partner sales and / or large accounts, and on a bachelor's or master's degree.
  • You travel frequently and you are based in the US (East Coast).
  • You report to the head of Sales/CEO.
  • You are located in the US.

  • You communicate with strong commercial awareness in at least 3 languages: Dutch, English and either German, Spanish or French.
