Support Engineer
What can you expect from your job at Smappee?
• Do you like a technical challenge? You are responsible for the support towards our partners who sell and install our Smappee products (B2B support).
• Are you a problem solver? You troubleshoot for Smappee installation partners during installation or configuration of the Smappee products for their end customers.

What are we looking for?
• You have a bachelor’s degree in ICT or Electronics, a master’s diploma in electrical engineering or are equal by experience in a support role. You are both energy- and tech-savvy.
• Electronic knowledge is necessary, affinity with the energy or electricity sector and energy monitoring in particular is a plus.

Product manager – Technical writer
What can you expect from your job at Smappee?
- Are you interested in product management?
You assist the Senior Product Manager in managing the product roadmap and full product lifecycle. You enjoy doing competitive analysis, testing and research. You collect user feedback to update and improve technical content. - Does creating technical content give you energy?
- You are responsible for the installation and instruction manuals and videos for the Smappee product range. You create, write and update the content which is targeted at a B2B audience. With the help of a designer you ensure the content is represented in professional documents and files including graphs, illustrations and animations.
- You contribute to the creation of marketing and sales documentation, e.g. presentations, application notes, use cases and white papers. This also includes writing or revising FAQs directed at residential and commercial end-consumers.
- Do you love to develop & create training materials?
You are responsible for (the content of) the Smappee Training Academy for our B2B partners. This involves developing the training materials and in addition to the regular trainers, occasionally providing training. The Academy includes product training and general training on energy related topics (energy savings, smart charging, self-consumption).
What are we looking for?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in ICT or Electronics, a master’s diploma in electrical engineering or are equal by experience. You are both energy- and tech-savvy.
- You surprise us with your strong analytical and writing skills.
- Being communicative, quality oriented, well organised and taking initiative characterise you.
- You are able to process technical information and translate it into digestible content for different audiences.
- You love transferring technical knowledge. You have a talent for explaining ideas graphically and you have the ability to write and speak clearly and correctly in English. Other languages are an added value.
- Knowledge of graphic programs (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) are a plus.

Production & Logistics (for energy monitoring and charging stations)
Together with two other team members you guarantee the production and logistics activities run correctly and efficiently.
What can you expect from your job at Smappee?
- Do you have a passion for electricity?
- You assemble parts of energy monitors.
- You carry out quality controls on the hardware of energy monitors and charging stations.
- You perform tests on produced devices.
- Do you like to roll up your sleeves?
- You are responsible for order picking.
- You pack and ship the orders according to the deadlines.
- Do you find it challenging to help customers or partners on site?
- Sporadically (+ – 30%), you’ll install and configure Smappee Infinity installations (smart energy monitoring) and Smappee charging stations at our customers or partners.
- Do you like variety?
- You carry out electrical work in the headquarters: installation, maintenance and repairs.
- You’re keen on technically complex and innovative installations.
What are we looking for?
• You have a degree in electromechanics or electricity or you have relevant experience.
• If you can read plans (electrical and architectural diagrams), this is a bonus.
• You speak Dutch, knowledge of French and English is a plus.
• You have extremely refined motor skills and you enjoy performing work that requires precise action.
• Precision, punctuality and efficient work are of paramount importance.
• You are satisfied when you meet your deadlines so that partners receive their orders on time.
• You have affinity with a technological environment and are computer literate.
• Do you have a forklift certificate? That’s a definite plus.
• You are in possession of a driving license type B and are prepared to make occasional trips in Belgium.
