Why the Smappee Charge Card?

One card for everything

Use the same card to start sessions on your own Smappee charging station (free, via whitelisting) and to charge publicly (pay per session). With split billing, home charging is settled correctly with your employer. That service is paid by the employer: €5 per month per agreement.

No subscription

Pay once for the card: €5 excl. VAT (€6.05 incl. VAT). After that, you pay the charging station operator's price plus €0.35 excl. VAT (€0.42 incl. VAT) per session. A 5% surcharge applies on other networks.

For individuals

Order in the Smappee App

You order and activate your card entirely in the app.

Open the Smappee App. Tap the car icon if you have a Smappee charging station, or choose Dashboard if you don't.
Under Enable public charging, tap Activate or request card. Choose Private use and confirm the one-off purchase of your card (€6.05 incl. VAT) by direct debit.
When your card arrives by post, go back to Activate or request card, choose I already have a Smappee Charge card and enter the 14-character code on the back.

For businesses

Manage charging cards in the Smappee Dashboard

Give your employees, drivers or customers one card for public charging, with central visibility of usage and costs.

Register your business in the Smappee Dashboard and set up Automatic payment (SEPA). You're only charged once you order or use cards.
In the Public charging board, choose Request Smappee cards (€5 excl. VAT per card), enter the number you need and we'll ship them to you. For more than 25 cards, please contact your account manager.
Activate each card with Add charge card: enter the card's token, an alias and an email address (employee number is optional). The user confirms by email and can start charging straight away. Charging costs are settled automatically by direct debit.

Once a card is linked to a user, they can also see their own sessions in the app.

My card doesn't work at a charging station. What now?

In the Smappee App, check under Settings → Wallet that your card is activated. Just activated it? It works immediately on Smappee stations, but on other networks it can take up to a few days. If it works on Smappee stations but not elsewhere, the issue is most likely with that station. Start the session in the app or pay by bank card.

Lost your card?

Block it as soon as possible so no one else can use it, then order a new one.

Individuals (Smappee App)

- Public charging: Settings → Wallet, select the card, tap Remove this RFID card.

- Home charging (whitelisting): Settings, select your charging station, tap the card, then Remove this token from the whitelisting. Note: if you remove the last card, your station will start charging without a card as soon as a vehicle is plugged in.

- Split billing: let your employer or fleet manager know. They'll order a new card and set up a new agreement.

Businesses (Smappee Dashboard)

- Public charging: in Public charging, remove the card with the bin icon.

- Split billing: in Split billing, close the active agreement.

- Whitelisting: in the Whitelisting card on your charger board (Chargers / EV Line [UI-term te checken]), remove the card.
