Smappee is ISO 9001 certified
Smappee has received ISO 9001 certification from BSI, one of the world’s leading certification bodies. The certificate confirms that the way we design, produce, deliver and support our energy management systems and EV charging stations is structured, documented and independently audited.
What does ISO 9001 mean?
ISO 9001 is the international standard for quality management systems. It does not certify a single product, but the way an organisation works: how it sets quality objectives, manages its processes, handles feedback and keeps improving. To obtain the certificate, our quality management system was assessed by BSI, and it will be checked again through regular surveillance audits and a full recertification every three years.
What it means for our partners and customers
For installers, distributors and corporate customers, ISO 9001 brings predictability. You can count on consistent processes, from the first design of a product to the support you receive after installation. The certificate also makes procurement and tender procedures simpler, since ISO 9001 is often a formal requirement.
Quality built into how we work
Our engineering is centralised at our headquarters in Harelbeke, and our hardware is made in Belgium. Every activity in our organisation has a clear process owner, and internal audits, corrective actions and regular management reviews help us improve continuously. Feedback from installers, partners and end users feeds into that same cycle.
ISO 9001 complements our ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security. Together, they cover both the quality of our solutions and the security of the data behind them.

As more homes and businesses rely on smart energy and EV charging every day, the reliability of those systems matters more than ever. With ISO 9001, we make that commitment visible and independently verified.
