Smappee EV One and Smappee EV Ultra awarded prestigious iF Design Award
Harelbeke (Belgium), 7th March 2024 – Smappee, the Harelbeke-based innovative cleantech company, has just won two iF Design Awards, one of the world’s most renowned design accolades. Smappee’s winning products, the smart home charger EV One and the fast charger EV Ultra, both won in the product discipline, in the automotive category. Each year some 11,000 designs compete for the coveted awards. For Smappee to win two this year is an exceptional achievement.
Smart, sleek and sustainable
Smappee EV One and Smappee EV Ultra won over the 132-member jury, consisting of independent experts worldwide, with their sleek, minimalist design while offering all the smarts that Smappee’s chargers are so renowned for. For instance, they make it easy to always charge affordably and sustainably by making optimal use of solar energy and taking advantage of the cheapest variable rates. Moreover, Smappee chargers are not only sustainable in terms of functionality, but also in terms of design as they are made with multi-recyclable aluminium.
The competition for the iF Design Award 2024 was intense. Nearly 11,000 entries from 72 countries were submitted in hopes of receiving the seal of quality.
